With their lyrical satire on work, consumerism, and fashion punks, St. Ann (vocals), Warren Sides (vocals), Ray Dehated (guitar), Varlet Rabblin (bass), and LDB Clark (drums) have been making a parody of the American dream under the moniker of P.A.W.N.S. since their 1997 split CD EP with Political Science. Along with their influence of late-'70s/early-'80s punk that looks up to Crass, Bad Religion, and the Avengers, Bad Monkey Records eventually released the EP You Talk of Sacrifice? He Knew the Meaning of Sacrifice in 1998 before Bizquick took over on bass guitar duties. After relocating to Chico, CA, from Santa Cruz, P.A.W.N.S third EP, ...And They Thought Anarchy Was Bad?, followed in 1999.
