With their sound that has either been described as "really loud" or "the soundtrack for the sexually frustrated," Moveable started in 1994 as a three piece who all shared the common interests of Prince, the Police and Shellac. Consisting of Kyle Richards (vocals/ bass), Dan "Klokie" Grossfeld (guitar) and William French (drums), the band released their first single "The Law of Inertia As It Applies To Elvis Presley" b/w "Blueprint For World Domination," in 1997 on Front Yard Records. With comparisons to Slint, Nation of Ulysses, Fugazi and The Jesus Lizard that followed, the band relocated to New York City and put out a split EP with Cathode that same year on Polterchrist Records, and their third seven inch "PS Your Cat is Dead" b/w "Damn Good Coffee and Hot," brought on by Sandbox Records in 1999.
