Italian alternative pop/rock foursome Miodea was formed in 1995 by three former members of a band called Coral Caves, who were joined by ex-Madbones drummer Claudius Zambrelli. In 1996, the band recorded its first EP, called Real Mirror. In 1997, the act became one of the finalists at a local rock contest, surpassing around 50 groups. After Stefano Botteli replaced singer Davide Visentin, Miodea released its first album in 1998. Later, Valentina Caja became the band's new singer. In the year 2000, the group issued its second album called Dévia.
