b. England. Birmingham-based Campbell’s musical background came in gospel music. However, in the 90s he was influenced by the swingbeat of Teddy Riley, whom he met when Guy toured England in 1991. Afterwards Campbell sent a speculative demo tape to Steve Jervier’s Jerv Productions. With Jervier’s help he began to embark on a host of R&B remixes, including R. Kelly, Soul For Real, Aaliyah, Ultimate Kaos, Darkman, Nu Colours and Original Son. He was also behind a highly successful remix of the Lighthouse Family’s UK chart hit, ‘Lifted’.
