Artist Biography by

John E S Hinrichsen, a mathematics major and religious studies minor at Carnegie Mellon University, avoids listening to commercial radio, watching MTV, and reading pop music magazines at all costs. Rather he chooses to rely on freeform college radio, live concerts, his personal 900-album collection, and news and reviews from the Internet. Hinrichsen's views are also shaped by his eight years of alto saxophone lessons and experience working as a freeform DJ. His areas of musical interest are currently hip-hop, trip-hop, and jazz; however, Hinrichsen's musical tastes are dynamic.
