Formed in the early '60s in Montreal, J.B. and the Playboys signed with RCA in 1965. Comprised of Bill Hill, Andy Kaye, Allan Nicholls, Doug West and Louis Yachnin, the band released a self-titled debut album in 1965, but then changed their name to the Jaybees and recorded several singles from 1965 to 1967. After another name change, to Carnival Connection, the group released "Poster Man" in 1968.
