The Sunday-night disc jockey at Manchester, England, nightspot the Fat Cat Café, Jason Boardman has built a parallel career as a singer, songwriter, and arranger. A former member of Boardwalk, a band he shared with Dave Haslam and Elliot Eastwick, he collaborated with Dave Piccioni on an album, Hard Times: The Seasons, in 1996. Since 1998, Boardman has worked with Ben Ashdown, formerly of electronica band Truant. After releasing a series of club/dance singles, including "The Naked Ape BC," "Our Sad Song," and "Change Yo Mind," they joined with Richard Moonboots to record an album, Neither Work Not Leisure, in 2001.
