Allowing musicians to simply take on, for a lark, important titles such as "captain" or "doctor"
should probably not be encouraged. Shouting out the name James Harris in a crowded movie theater apparently being a good way to hire a punk rock drummer, however, any such designation may help prevent confusion regarding who is who. Captain James Harris is a drummer active around the area of Reading, Berkshire, the United Kingdom, with an ensemble called the Brass Monkeys.
Previous to that, Harris drummed in a ska band from Newbury, Mister Pringle, creators of the 2002 CD Fund-A-Mentalist as well as a pair of EPs. In 2004 he moved over to the Reading octet and a genre dubbed "wedgecore," promising a mash-up of the drummer's previous ska skills with tassels of punk, arena rock and emo. The Wedgecore Manifesto from the spring of that year provided the first documentation of this bold venture.
