Artist Biography by

This mid-90s US rap duo comprised brothers Infinite Kundalini and Kwabena The Triumphant, or Mark and Scott Batson as their mother knew them. Raised in the Bushwick sector of Brooklyn, New York, the group was first spotted while playing support for Maverick recording artist Me’Shell during the Washington Area Music Association’s 1990 convention. Leotis Clyburn of Polydor Records was in attendance, but lost touch until two years later when he saw their name under the live listings. The first result of a long-term recording contract was the single, ‘Pretty Brown Babies (Pro Seed)’, and live dates with Jazzamatazz, with whom they were frequently compared thanks to their mellow, jazzy groove.
