Ektroverde got together in 1996 after the breakup of the seminal Finnish post-punk act of Circle. With an ever-changing lineup and an improvised avant-garde live set that includes Krautrock, psychedelia, electronica, and jazz amongst other genres, Ektroverde would capture this sound with the funding of their own label, Ektro. Resulting in the self-released EP Mortalaattori in 1996, a handful of releases would follow through various European labels such as Bad Vugum, Fonal, Verdura, and Snowdonia-Mizmaze Records. This discography includes the full-lengths of Pingvin (1998), Arpeggio (1999), and Integral (2000).
