A German heavy metal band featuring Mandy Van Baaren (vocals), Burkhard Lipps (vocals), Paco Saval (keyboards, vocals), Tato Gomez (guitar) and Willi Ketzer (drums), Earforce formed in the early 80s. Their debut album, 1982’s Hot Line, featured an eclectic mix of styles, from Fleetwood Mac -styled folk/blues rock to more assertive hard rock. Many critics suggested that the songs lost something in translation (they relied almost exclusively on English language lyrics), but otherwise the album was a fairly impressive achievement. Despite this, there was never a follow-up, as the band members dispersed to other projects.
