b. USA. Danny Joe Brown (vocals) elected to pursue a solo career in 1981 after breaking away from Molly Hatchet after their first two albums. Forming his own group, Danny Joe Brown Band was recorded with assistance from Bobby Ingram (vocals), Steve Wheeler (guitar), Kenny McVay (guitar), John Galvin (keyboards, vocals), Buzzy Meekins (bass, vocals) and Jimmy Glenn (drums). A mediocre selection of melodic hard rock material, the album failed commercially and the experiment was not repeated, as Brown rejoined Molly Hatchet the following year. The album was reissued in 2004, with a different batch of reviews; the album would have appeared to have greatly improved with age.
