Artist Biography by

Formed in Washington, DC, USA, in the early 80s, this hard rock quintet took their prefix from their locale and performed widely in the area long before their songs were released on record. Comprising Henry Farmer (bass), Kenny Talor (vocals), Jeff Avery (keyboards, guitar), Dave Simmons (guitar) and Glenn Jones (drums), their style was one of unreconstructed goodtime rock ‘n’ roll, considered by the local media to be akin to early Deep Purple. They recorded their debut album, Rockin’ In The Classroom, for Atlantic Records subsidiary Mirage in 1985, but despite further good reviews this was never followed up.
