Artist Biography by

Formerly known as Centurion, Cyclone were formed in Vilvoorde, Belgium, by vocalist Guido Gevels and guitarist Pascal van Lint in 1981. With the addition of Johnny Kerbush (guitar), Stefan Daamen (bass) and Nicholas Lairin (drums), they initially took their cue from the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. They later switched to a more thrash-orientated approach, styling themselves on Anthrax. They subsequently negotiated a one-album contract with Roadrunner Records and debuted with Brutal Destruction in 1986. The label did not renew the group’s contract and Cyclone disbanded the following year.
