Artist Biography by

Since forming in 1970, US gospel quartet Children Of The Day have maintained an impressive average of 150 gigs per year as they push their Christian message along the length and breadth of America. Comprising Russell Stevens (bass, vocals), Marsha Stevens (guitar, percussion, vocals), Wendy Fremin (guitar, vocals) and Kit Freeman (piano, drums), the group drew its name from a line of bible scripture: ‘You are all children of the light, and the children of the day’. However, none of their many albums for Light Records have so far managed to cultivate a mainstream gospel audience, though the group remains an impressively self-reliant performance act.
