This US, blues-based rock quartet was formed in Florida, USA, in 1977 by guitar virtuoso Nick Paine. Enlisting the services of Nick Costello (bass), Louis Merlino (vocals) and Joey Belfiore (drums), they took their musical lead primarily from Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith. Paine’s guitar work, certainly, was structured on the style made famous by Jimmy Page. Their sole release was noticeably derivative, but the excellent production and rawness of the band’s delivery made it more than worthwhile. They disbanded soon after the album was released, with Costello going on to join Toronto.
