The individual members of BigIron are rooted in the mid- to late '80s as Dan Lehmann (Vocals), Alepeno (Guitar), Johnny Bicks@Six (Drums), and Todd Hezeaux (Bass) played in a number of metal acts throughout their native of Dallas and Fort Worth. The band eventually came together in early 1996 under the moniker of Gravity. Eventually changing their name to BigIron and self-releasing a six-song EP that same year, the quartet signed a European deal with the German-based Semaphore Records. The full-length debut Tierra del Diablo resulted in October of 1997.
