This short-lived unit was the brainchild of Frank Zappa during the period he owned and operated Studio Z in Cucamonga, California, USA. Two Zappa-penned songs, ‘How’s Your Bird’ and ‘The World’s Greatest Sinner’, were recorded then leased to Bob Keene’s Donna label, who issued the results as a single in March 1963. Zappa contributes guitar on both sides, which also feature future Mothers Of Invention vocalist Ray Collins. Despite its title, the latter does not appear on the soundtrack of the low-budget film of the same name that Zappa scored at the same time.
