Artist Biography by

The nine-piece Anointed Pace Singers choir first performed in the early 70s at high-school talent shows. Directed by Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, they subsequently won the award for best gospel group at the Church Of God In Christ Music Convention (UNAC). As part of evangelist Gene Martin’s Action Revival Team, the group toured America widely. However, it was not until 1992 that they recorded their debut album, U-Know, for Savoy Records. Building on their already extensive experience, the debut was resplendent in rich harmonies that balanced the committed delivery. As a result, U-Know remained on the Billboard gospel album charts for over a year. Their 1995 album, My Purpose, was recorded live in Atlanta and gave LaShaun Pace a starring role on the evocative ‘Hands Of God’.
