The tenor singer Andrew Morgan is associated with groups such as Chanticleer, the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, the American Bach Soloists, Magnificat, the California Bach Society, the Camerata Singers of Monterey, and the Sanford Dole Ensemble. His West Coast stage appearances through the '90s have included productions by the Berkeley Opera, the Sonoma City Opera, and the apparently smaller-scaled Pocket Opera. Morgan, who has whiled away many an afternoon translating ancient motets, came forward into the world of stage directing in 1996 with the latter company and a production of Gounod's The Doctor in Spite of Himself. Morgan studied at Northern Illinois University and received a Master of Music from the University of Illinois.
