Irving Berlin's classic holiday song "White Christmas" was first performed by Bing Crosby on Crosby's NBC radio show on Christmas Day in 1941. Crosby officially recorded the song in the studio the following October in 1942. The rest is history, and Crosby's studio version of "White Christmas" went on to sell over 50 million copies worldwide and become the best-selling single of all time. It's included in this brief collection of Crosby singing Christmas classics and it's hard to imagine a more perfect set for holiday listening. Crosby could sing a shopping list and it would sound warm and pleasant, but "White Christmas" gave him a signature song and a place in holiday hearts everywhere.
