AllMusic Review by

This has to be the quirkiest Florida compilation ever. The Full Sign's contribution of "Another Day in England (Never Hooked Up)" has a noisy structure of pop that only consists of drums, vocals, and background noise. Ancient Brain's use of saxophones and quirky guitar solos look up to Men at Work -- with added southern accents-- as well as Butthole Surfers. Invaders From a Forbidden Planet do their best Devo impression with their nerdcore of synth-pop quirkness, while the Replicons follow in the same formula with the instrumental "Plasmid Conjugation." All around, When Worlds Collide is a nice collection of oddball retro punk-pop; skinny ties and aerosol hair spray should be included.
