AllMusic Review by

While Together: 38 Classic All Time Duets & Collaborations overstates its case somewhat, it does feature some memorable and eclectic duets, including truly all-time classic pairings like Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell's "You're All I Need to Get By," Peaches & Herb's "Reunited," Diana Ross and Lionel Richie's "Endless Love," and the Pogues and Kirsty MacColl's "Fairytale of New York." The collection keeps things fresh by including somewhat left-of-center pairings like Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue's "Where the Wild Roses Grow" along with time-tested duets like Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville's "Don't Know Much" and Jennifer Warnes and Joe Cocker's "Up Where We Belong." Other highlights include Des'ree and Ladysmith Black Mambazo's version of "Ain't No Sunshine" and Wyclef Jean and Mary J. Blige's "911." There are a few less-than-stellar tracks, such as Gabrielle and East 17's "If You Ever," but overall this is a pretty entertaining compilation of collaborations.
