This excellent LP release from the Giants of Jazz label has music from five top jazz stars that was previously unreleased; the recording quality is excellent. Count Basie guests with The Harry Sosnick Orchestra in 1949 and is well-featured on two numbers. Billie Holiday sings "You Better Go Now" and "Them There Eyes" while accompanied by Percy Faith's Orchestra, the 1951 Duke Ellington Orchestra plays four songs, pianist Art Tatum takes "Begin the Beguine" solo and then jams "Cherokee" with the Murray McEachern All-Stars before Louis Armstrong's 1954 All-Stars close the show with four typical but exuberant selections. A highly enjoyable album.
