Time-Life reissues its 1987 double LP as 22-track a single disc. While it's far from the complete output of the trio during 1963-1969, it covers all the ground most listeners would want. From "Baby Love" and "Stop! In the Name of Love" to "Reflections" and "Someday We'll Be Together," the stuff is in there with some nice surprises as well, including "Some Things You Never Get Used To" and "The Composer." That said, it differs little from various other Motown collections that contain the same material. Perhaps its one advantage is that it's on a single CD as opposed to the myriad multiple-disc sets with filler that have been shoveled out onto the shelves for the past decade.
