AllMusic Review by

If you crave something other than the usual Miller best-of compilation, here's a set tailor-made for you. The recordings on this disc date from July 1939 to July 1942 -- prime years for the Miller organization. It's an odd mix, offering five instrumentals and 20 vocals, featuring Marion Hutton, Skip Nelson, Ray Eberle, and a young Kay Starr (on "Baby Me"). But as a companion piece to any Miller best-of, this one's a keeper.
