AllMusic Review by

This 2003 compilation from Razor & Tie compiles 18 of the biggest club singles from the '90s. Dozens of similarly structured titles are floating around, so any purchasing decisions more or less rest on whether or not the disc in question has the right number of songs you want. There are songs that were seemingly unavoidable during the height of their popularity (Black Box's "Strike It Up," Technotronic's "Pump up the Jam," Snap!'s "The Power," Crystal Waters' "Gypsy Woman," C+C Music Factory's "Gonna Make You Sweat"), and then there are novelties that are even more so years after release (Rednex's "Cotton Eyed Joe," L.A. Style's "James Brown Is Dead," 20 Fingers' "Short Short Man"). Since very few of these groups released strong albums based on their hit singles, compilations such as this one come in very handy.
