The second collection of teen singles from the '50s and '60s in this series, Teen Town USA, Vol. 2 stays the course with a program of 30 tracks of rare hits, obscurities by known artists, and obscurities by complete unknowns. The hits include "Real Wild Child" by Ivan (the Crickets' Jerry Allison), Johnny Cymbal's "Teenage Heaven," and Larry Hall's "Sandy." Rockabilly favorite Glen Glenn, New Zealand rocker Johnny Devlin, and David Gates (later of Bread) make appearances as well. As the title suggests, the music is comprised of teen pop and novelties, all of which have been mastered from the original 45s. The sound quality is reasonably good and the content fun and occasionally fascinating.
