During three dates in July 1979, pianist Red Garland recorded enough material to fill up three sets; unfortunately, none of the music has yet been reissued on CD. This particular album has some good playing by Garland in a trio with bassist Ron Carter and drummer Ben Riley; guitarist Kenny Burrell helps out on three of the six numbers. The group performs six superior standards, including "Yours Is My Heart Alone," "Have You Met Miss Jones" and Clifford Brown's "Daahoud," and Garland shows that even this late in his career, he was still a fine player with a musical conception of his own.
