AllMusic Review by

The Sucka MCs debuted in 1997 with Steppin' in Shit, a collection of insane hip-hop tracks that are more funny than tough or stylish. The Iowa City-based collective are no doubt influenced by another group of white boys, the Beastie Boys -- and, in particular, that group's riotous 1986 classic debut album, Licensed to Ill, the benchmark for all insane white-boy rap groups. Another album didn't appear until 2002, when the Sucka MCs returned with Da Album, a much more ambitious release than Steppin' in Shit.
