AllMusic Review by

The post-disco/pre-house clearing-house compilation set that destroys all competitors, Unidisc's Star Funk goes so deep that even fanatics of the era in question will only find a cut or two worth keeping on each volume. The 33rd volume does contain Michael Zager Band's "Let's All Chant," Nightlife Unlimited's "Let's Dance, Freak and Boogie," the Latin Rascals' "Bach to the Future," and Sarah Dash's "Low Down Dirty Rhythm," and a few songs are curiosities in some respect, but there's far too much third-rate fluff to make this anything more than a middling affair. Hats off to Unidisc for putting forth the effort in digging up all of these forgotten (or never known to begin with) singles, but they've taken obscurantism too far.
