AllMusic Review by

Sounds of the Seventies is a better-than-average double disc highlighting 46 U.K. pop singles released during that decade. This eclectic mix includes a few tried-and-true radio classics by the Kinks, Freda Payne and Emerson, Lake & Palmer with less-than-obvious inclusions by Disco Tex & the Sex -O-Lettes, Sham 69, Atomic Rooster and excellent reggae versions of "Black & White" by Greyhound and "Snoopy Vs. the Red Baron"! by the Hotshots. These are the original recordings and, with the exception of the chintzy cover art, this is recommended.
