Essentially, Sexy Music Around the World is a babymaker record for the sound effects set. No kidding. There are 14 untitled cuts here, all of them full of atmospheric deep breathy electronically inflected mood music for lovemaking. But that’s not all. According to the back cover’s liner notes (which are full of typos, by the way), listeners can experience passion from different cultures and in different languages including English, Russian, Hebrew, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, French, and Japanese. They claim the tracks are instrumental with “love tips” offered between tracks. Nonsense. They are in the tracks, and if the cuts with English-language speakers are any indication, this stuff is pure cheese, and figures men and women want to be softcore porn stars. Avoid at all costs. If this was given as a gift -- other than on obvious gag -- one should take offense. Thankfully, this is a money grab by its producers that won’t work, since records like this went out of fashion in the '60s.
