AllMusic Review by

Leon Ware's two albums for Elektra -- Rockin' You Eternally (1981) and Leon Ware (1982) -- are combined on this release from the U.K.-based Expansion label. They had been reissued individually on CD (in Japan and in the U.K.) and as digital downloads (in the U.S. and elsewhere), but this is a cheaper alternative from one of the more reliable reissue labels around. Between the two albums, there is a significant amount of sophisticated, top-shelf, early-'80s R&B. They're West Coast albums through and through -- exemplified by "Why I Came to California," a duet with co-songwriter Janis Siegel -- and should appeal to lovers of soft rock's more R&B-inspired strains.
