AllMusic Review by

These often-reissued performances (originally cut for Bob Thiele's Signature label) are worth acquiring in one form or another. This LP has three unrelated sessions: a Fats Waller tribute date by pianist Earl Hines's trio (with guitarist Al Casey and bassist Oscar Pettiford), four numbers from an all-star swing group headed by trumpeter Shorty Sherock and (most memorably) a set in which the eccentric vocalist Leo Watson interacts with trombonist Vic Dickenson; their version of "Jingle Bells" is a classic of its kind.
