This collector's LP features the underrated but talented cornetist Pete Daily in several Dixieland-oriented settings. His first set as a leader resulted in four songs also featuring trombonist Bud Wilson, clarinetist Rosy McHargue and bass saxophonist Joe Rushton. In addition, Dailey is featured on a live date originating from Sardi's in Los Angeles and as a featured sideman with trombonist Bill Williams' septet. Spirited renditions of Dixieland warhorses alternate with worthy obscurities, and the musicianship is excellent, making this an album that Dixieland fans will want.
