AllMusic Review by

Richard Grossman, a fine pianist who prefered playing freely improvised jazz, is featured with bassist Ken Filiano, drummer Alex Cline and Vinny Golia (who is heard on bass clarinet, alto flute, soprano, clarinet and baritone) in different combinations on six of his originals, all of which are free improvisations. The unpredictable performances develop logically (particularly "Time Between the Palm Trees" and Grossman's solo "Ice Where the Wind Was") and hold one's interest throughout. This LP is worth exploring.
