AllMusic Review by

Tenor saxophonist's Al Cohn's Xanadu albums of 1975-80 found him at the peak of his powers. On this record, his third quartet date with pianist Barry Harris (bassist Steve Gilmore and drummer Walter Bolden complete the group), Cohn performs three originals (including "Zoot Case"), two Duke Ellington songs and a pair of swing standards. Two of the highlights are a cooking "All the Things You Are" and a version of "Mood Indigo" that is taken as a jazz waltz. Recommended, as are all of Cohn's swinging and boppish Xanadu dates.
