When one thinks of the disco era, Andrea True's 1976 smash "More More More" is one of those songs that immediately comes to mind. The former porno star turned disco diva didn't have nearly as many hits as Donna Summer, the Bee Gees or the Village People -- in fact, she only recorded two albums, 1976's More More More and 1978's White Witch. But even so, no discussion of disco is complete unless True's name is mentioned, and no disco collection is complete without the songs on this 1997 CD. While the sexy title song was True's biggest radio hit, glossy numbers like "New York, You Got Me Dancing," "Keep It Up Longer" and "Call Me" brought more than a few dance clubs to life. These very European-sounding classics (most of them produced by Gregg Diamond) weren't about social relevance or intellect; their only goal was escapist, campy fun. And True accomplished her goal without apology.
