On Minorville, the rapper formerly known as PRo follows up his successful 2011 album Dying to Live (a Billboard Top Christian Albums number one hit) with his most sonically rich and lyrically creative work yet. He's joined by several guest singers and rappers, but his deeply impassioned rhymes -- alternately uplifting and defiant, seemingly inspired by Kanye West -- are the dominant force. "Gimme" is a fiery highlight, where he takes aim at hypocrisy within the church: "See, you ain't gotta be a Christian to notice the something's fishy when the church is like casinos with slot machines missing."
