The Jam/Lewis production duo tried their best to make Michael Jeffries a star on his second Warner Bros. album. But the best they could was provide a nice duet with Karyn White. Jeffries had the raw vocal gifts, but lacked the charisma and the personality to make the songs memorable or hold your attention beyond one listen. The fact that he wasn't getting exactly fantastic material to do didn't help matters much, either.
