Underground artist Edvaldo Santana brings his strong lyrics to a mainstream production. Musically, his melodies are simple and pleasurable, but not memorable, and the pop/rock and bluesgrooves are competently delivered. His strong lyrics, full of social criticism and an outcast's vigor, are properly driven by his harsh voice. The opening track, "Lobo Solitário" (Lonely Wolf), puts the listener in the center of the action -- a testimony of his journey through the dark alleys of urban loneliness. An intelligent social chronicle of the depressing if adventurous life in the underground of São Paulo, Brazil's biggest megalopolis.
