AllMusic Review by

This long out-of-print LP features a variety of different pianists with three selections by Mary Lou Williams, two from Meade Lux Lewis and one apiece by Teddy Wilson (with an unidentified drummer), Erroll Garner and Willie "the Lion" Smith; all were recorded by Moses Asch in 1944. While those performances are fine, it is Art Tatum's five numbers on the flip side (particularly a roaring "Fine & Dandy") that easily take solo honors. As usual the liner notes leave out most of the important information but the strong music on this 1974 collection outweighs the erratic packaging.
