AllMusic Review by

This double-disc set features some wonderful late-period live performances from Louis Armstrong and his Allstars. The first, more instrumentally oriented disc contains a variety of small group improvisations on standards and Armstrong favorites, including "Sweet Georgia Brown," "Mack the Knife," and "When It's Sleepy Time Down South," as well as a hilarious duet of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" between Armstrong and featured singer Velma Middleton, while the second features alternate performances of many of the same songs, as well as more vocal-based material.
