Originally released in 1983, INVITE THE SPIRIT brings together Western musical traditions from prolific experimental guitarist Henry Kaiser and frequent collaborator Charles K. Noyes on percussion, with Eastern
traditions from Korean musician Sang-Won Park on the kayagum (12-string zither). The result is an improvised amalgam of rhythms, guitar scrapes, and twangs led by vocalizations from Park as well
as whines and delicate plucks from the zither. This release should not be confused with INVITE THE SPIRIT 2006, which was a re-recording of the original album.
