This self-titled comp collects a series of seven-inch singles and unreleased material from the Princeton, NJ-based lo-fi garage-punk band Home Blitz. Reveling in the joys of banging out three simple chords and the freedom that comes with playing for yourself rather than the masses, Home Blitz embody the weirdo spirit of D.I.Y. art. At times sounding like a basement version of the Velvet Underground or a hiss-o-phonic Modern Lovers, Home Blitz are at their best when tooling with a hummable melody ("Feeling Cold," "Hey!"); however, they're equally intriguing when they get experimental ("Bored," "Yard"), throwing the kitchen sink out with the bathwater and tossing everything and the baby into the mix.
