AllMusic Review by

There are 50 tracks on BMG/Telstar's Hits 50: 50 Tracks - 50 Hits!, but not all of them are well-known hits, outside of perhaps European clubs. There are some international smashes here -- Outkast's "Ms Jackson," Pink's "Most Girls," J-Lo's "Love Don't Cost a Thing," Destiny's Child's "Bootylicious," Lou Bega's "Mambo No. 5," the Bangles' "Eternal Flame," David Gray's "Babylon," for instance -- but there's a lot of Europop and Eurodance here that hasn't really been heard much outside of the three months they were sensations. Plus, the album skips through time periods with abandon, switching between the '80s, '90s, and 2000s without much rhyme or reason. So, it's not quite the nonstop hits that the title promises, but some of these also-rans are interesting as cultural artifacts and, for some listeners, there are enough favorites here to make it worth picking up, but this isn't one of the better hits collections of this nature out there.
