Hexametaphosfate's music fuses techno with industrial, resulting in a hybrid that is more listenable than danceable and more foreboding than ethereal. The artist's Midwest residence seems to have an obvious influence on his music, sounding like Detroit collective Underground Resistance's early-'90 hardcore techno and the KMFDM-esque industrial sound associated with the Chicago-based Wax Trax! label. However engaging the hybrid, it does sound a bit primative and simple, though this is no doubt part of its appeal.
