AllMusic Review by

The Turtles have a perfectly good best-of on Rhino called 20 Greatest Hits. There is also the serviceable 2004 collection Happy Together: The Best of the Turtles on Shout Factory. This haphazard collection of hits and album tracks really serves no purpose except to someone who just wants some Turtles on CD and doesn't care what you get. Sure, "Happy Together" is here as are a couple of other biggies like "Elanore," "It Ain't Me Babe," and "You Showed Me," but the rest of the tracks seem to be picked out of a hat. The packaging is on the cheap side and the songs sound much better on legitimate releases. It is too bad the Turtles' record label allowed the masters to be bought by cheap reissue labels like Delta. The band deserves better than to see their work degraded like this. Anyone looking for their music deserves better than this also.
