AllMusic Review by

A tremendous collection of ballads by one- and two-record wonders, mostly recorded for short-lived labels. Harmony lovers will drool over stellar cuts like "A Lovely Way to Meet," by True Movement, and "Young Hearts Get Lonely Too" by the New Younghearts. An early Dynamics tune, "We're Gonna Be Together," highlights the unheralded Detroit natives' sweet vocal blend. The East Coast's Shock delivers "Why Should I Forgive You," a Ronald McCoy composition. Cleveland natives the Imperial Wonders display high and low-end harmonies on "Turned Around Over You"; member Al Boyd later wrote "Shaky Ground" for the Temptations. The mellow grooves keep coming; check out obscure romancers and lamenters by Natural Resources, Final Chapter, Four Tracks, Sweet Berry, California Malibu's, Norfolk, and others for your pleasure.
